The EJI Excellence in Medicine Awards™, dating back to 1939, honor those exemplary physicians and leaders whose dedication to medical care, education, research and public service has significantly impacted the delivery of healthcare in New Jersey and across the world. The mission of EJI Excellence in Medicine is to promote and encourage excellence in medical care and healthcare for the citizens of New Jersey. EJI Excellence in Medicine promotes excellence by providing scholarships to New Jersey residents who are medical, dental, pharmacy and physician assistant students at New Jersey schools.
New Jersey Health Foundation is proud to assume the management of the EJI Excellence in Medicine Awards™ and related scholarship fund beginning in late 2023 expanding its commitment to support advances in health research, innovation and education in New Jersey.
New Jersey Health Foundation (NJHF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2002. Through its Annual Grant Program NJHF supports research, community health and social service programs. NJHF also manages over 300 endowments providing annual funding to support health related research, educational programs and health related scholarships through donor directed distributions.
